According the the article, this was called Pocket Fighter in Japan and the UK as well as the US...so where, exactly, did we get the name Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix?--209.243.31.233 00:32, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Nope, it's called Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix in the U.S. versions. Which brings me to, why this article isn't called that? JuJube 07:28, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

For the same reason we settled on having Sega Mega Drive instead of Sega Genesis. The game was originally released as Pocket Fighter in Japan, which was also the title used in Europe. Because America is the odd-man-out, the article is where it is. Besides, Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix is probably one of the worst titles ever.--SeizureDog 07:44, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Under that guideline you might as well call M. Bison Vega, Darkstalkers to Vampire, Street Fighter Alpha to Street Fighter Zero, Final Fight 3 to Final Fight Tough, etc etc etc. The page should be moved to the US name at the very least because of the other capcom related articles that use said name, among other reasons.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 22:18, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Well something that JuJube pointed out something regarding M. Bison that I figured I'd check: the regions for the CPS-2 rom save for Japan will show it as SGF, not Pocket Fighter. Thus it's only Pocket Fighter for Japan, not SGF only for america.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 17:56, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Super Gem Fighter: Mini Mix vs. Pocket Fighter

For the record, the title of the arcade version was changed to Super Gem Fighter in the US, Asia and Hispanic territories. The PlayStation version on the other hand, kept the Japanese title. Jonny2x4 (talk) 04:53, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I wish I had been around during that discussion. I can't believe all of them were ignorant of the original Playstation version called Pocket Fighter in AMERICA except the initial guy who posted. And he was shot down with a "Nope!
